How often do we wake up early on a Saturday morning? How early? 6:30a.m?
Half awake I made my way to Taman Desa.. With the objective to take some photos..
Spotted this dude relaxing.. with his shoes off just sitting there.. He sure looked engulfed in peace..

RHEL 5u1
It sure was rapid. I'm installing to practice. For that I have to sacrifice my Ubuntu installation.
15 minutes later.. Everything's done..
Boot.. wireless not working.. This worked automatically with Ubuntu..
What wireless adapter do I have? hmm..
[root@localhost ~]# lspci | grep Wireless
06:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection (rev 02)
Insert Supplementary CD.. automounts..
[root@localhost Supplementary]# pwd
/media/RHELServerSupplementary5.1i3861/Supplementary
[root@localhost Supplementary]# ls | grep 3945
ipw3945d-1.7.22-2.el5.i386.rpm
ipw3945-ucode-1.14.2-1.el5.noarch.rpm
kmod-ipw3945-1.2.0-4.8.el5.i686.rpm
kmod-ipw3945-xen-1.2.0-4.8.el5.i686.rpm
install all but *xen*.. don't need that atm..
Let's start the services at boot..
[root@localhost Supplementary]# chkconfig ipw3945d on
[root@localhost Supplementary]# chkconfig NetworkManager on
[root@localhost Supplementary]# chkconfig NetworkManagerDispatcher on
reboot..
NetworkManager daemon will display a connection manager applet in gnome.. click.. select wireless AP.. I'm good to go..
[root@localhost Supplementary]# ifconfig eth1
eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:18:DE:BE:CA:07

Why does it not work?
We're attending a 4 day course, Red Hat Rapid Track Programme. Being in the technical line, we're accustomed to stuff not working even when they should. Apai's automounter wasn't working. NIS login was working but the system was not mounting the home directory residing on NFS. We compared configurations, he rebooted, he redid, he ended up like this..
The problem? Permission for /etc/auto.guests was executable, while it should not.

Morning traffic along Jalan Tun Razak
It's not stand still traffic. It crawls. With the sun glaring at your face, you'd wish to get it out of your face like yesterday. Instead of cursing n swearing, why not take some shots ;-) ?

Another KL landscape
Sometimes the view from above can be amazing. I'm not sure what highway this is. Taken from the 21st floor of KUB.com.

iPhone firmware 1.1.4 problems?
I don't know if it's only on the 1.1.4 firmware of the iPhone, but I experienced 2 weird things today.
Case 1.
As training was going to commence, I switched the phone to silent, and it kept on vibrating non stop at what seemed like 1 second intervals. Flipping the switch to ring mode caused the phone to keep on ringing! While I fanatically tried to do something, nothing seemed to work. I'm not crazy, there was no incoming call.
Case 1 Solution.
Restart the phone.
Case 2.
During class my phone (in silent mode) suddenly started to 'repeatedly' vibrate. Well that'll be normal if there was an incoming call. The screen itself was blinking in rhythm to the vibrates! Totally crazy! When it finally stopped, it read that I had 6 missed calls. I returned the call after class to find out that my friend made only 2 calls to me, both of which were dropped calls (no ringtone on his side before getting cut off).
Case 2 Solution.
Filed in x-files.
