We have to be passionate with what we do to really excel. Oh I so believe in tht. While being in the technology line, everything moves so fast. Nothing really stays as it is for long. You may think u've found the perfect solution only to find a better solution another day.
It is so important to recognize your ppl's contributions. It is these recognitions that plays a role in skill set retention and job satisfaction. With retention in place, tht's when a company can achieve greater mile stones.
Just yesterday during the team's weekly meet that my name, to my astonishment was called out to receive this.
Recognition with a small reward.

Accessing your Nokia S60 from your desktop
Have you ever wished that u were able to remotely control your mobile phone from your PC/laptop? Literally controlling, I mean it's like your using your mobile phone from your machine!
This was sparked by my interest to use my phone's camera as a webcam, tht was like abt 2 yrs ago. Back then I was searching high and low to no avail. A couple of days back tht itch returned for no apparent reasons. An old itch never dies I suppose ;-)
Remote S60 Pro. is a software which will enable u to access your phone from ya machine. It's like magic!
Of coz u need a phone tht runs the Symbian OS.
U've got a few options to connect, Bluetooth / IrDA / Cable. Of coz cable gives u best performance. I hate cables so I opted for Bluetooth, the speed is reasonable ;-). Configuring this thingie to work with BT was a 2 night challenge haha. Nearly giving up, it finally worked!
That's my phone's theme.
Navigating anywhere in the phone's similar to the phone's user interface itself. Cool huh~ Of coz typing an sms is then a breeze!
I'll write abt turning this into a webcam in the nx posting.

discipline, a crucial factor.
How many of our dogs rush to their food taking no heed of their masters' orders?
Proper training is required.
1. Say your prayers Yoda.
2. Ask for permission after prayers.
3. "OK!" and he starts to eat.

We need food!
When u work in a place such as Cyberjaya, food seems to be top priority. In the midst of oh concrete and greens, choices for food doesn't seem to come by simple.
Right after Melvin's lil' farewell lunch, we headed to Carrefour to get some 'food'.
On the conveyor belt, not exactly ours yet..
We separated what could be divided. Looks like I won some kinda hamper.

Melvin.. Bon Voyage!
It's tough to see ppl come by and go.. Melvin's last day was yesterday.. He's gg somewhere better(we all hope for tht).. He was assigned as my buddy when I 1st joined Shift Group 1. Boy he's one hell of a buddy! He takes time to explain the process, the procedures, how to do things right. He often says "I tend to do things the old fashion way". Well these ways are the ones that kinda guarantee consistent results. I am most grateful.
Thanks Melvin!
This lil' gathering was to celebrate his 'departure'. Alamanda Putrajaya. Secret Recipe.
Vilves had some fish with lobster sauce.
Melvin had macaroni + some kinda prawn sauce.
I had Irish Lamb Stew.
Suhaila had meatball spaghetti.
We shared a banana float.
Melvin had a slice all to himself!
From the left: Vilves, Melvin, Suhaila
This is Shift Group 1 of GLUX Run N Maintain.
We'll continue to grow, by leaps and bounds.
