MIFCTeam Japan

Team Japan boy was I excited. When I found out that it was at 12am instead of the norm 10pm in conjunction to our Merdeka celebration, I was like huh? Now what am I going to do? It was 7:30pm.

I was making my way home when.. by gawd it's Team Japan! It's the musical fireworks! It's Malaysia International Fireworks Competition! Received a phone call and I decided to kill some time on the road, totally weird.

Say I work in Cyberjaya and would've taken me a 15 mins stroll to the lake.

But because I decided to kill time on the road.. DUH~.. I got caught in the Elite highway traffic..


Reached back at the office around 11:15pm and started my stroll..

Boy look at the standstill traffic.. wait a min, something's not right here..


Goodness! These guys actually parked their cars just like that. 2 lane road with emergency lane, turned into a parking lot for 4! Both sides making it a 8 row parking lot, back to back. We Malaysians are pretty damn cool~


Team Japan started off the mood with some colors followed by a long session of fury red fireworks display! Red for Japan I reckon..






Reminded me of a colorful weeping wallow.


This session was like bombs going of in mid-air!

My 2nd visit. This time I had dark beer and pork belly. The food's good! Had one hell of a meal. Oh did I forget to mention the beer was excellent? A definite must try.

Wheat Grass

Each time I mention I'm planting wheat grass, _they_ will stare at me with the *r-u-nutz* look. Ok so I live in an apartment, why can't I plant some wheat grass? Coz _they_ think the wheat flour kinda grass instead of these petite flers.. Takes 2 days to sprout, a week to reach 4 inches, another 5 mins. to juice the fler (with a wheat grass juicer).

Geez just pay the RM2.50 for a shot will ya..

Who'd expect Big Apple to be this successful is such a short time? With trays and tray churned out of the over used ovens. Hell we gotta give these guys credit, their donuts are indeed better than Dunkin's.

1st September Mid Valley Megamall 10pm - midnight

Malaysia International Fireworks Competition - Team Italy

The LDP was slow moving even at Kelana. It was 8:45pm. So I took the NKVE joining the ELITE. A huge round, but I figured it'll be better. At the turn off to Putrajaya/Cyberjaya, just before the toll plaza, we we're caught there for 30 minutes. I was having a good mind to just turn back somewhere. Alas I persevered! I even took an illegal u-turn over a divider :-D. 1st time doing that. And we triple parked somewhere in Putrajaya. We need not mention the massive crowd all along the road shoulders.




Shiver me timbers! I was awed to see the swift formation of a star!

The grand finale by Team Italy.


It was nothing short of a spectacular fireworks display by Team Italy! Totally mesmerizing! I can't start to imagine being at PICC itself having the chance to see the entire spread as it was meant to accompanied by musicals. It's after all a musical fireworks event.

Okay I won't imagine, I'm getting the tickets for the finals! Count me in mates!

Team Japan debuts on the 30th, I'll be across the lake watching! Shucks it was a waste to miss Team Malaysia and Australia~
