gooChi gooChi gooOOoo

I'm never around kids, they don't like me, I don't particularly like them either. This fler Joseph has practically never smiled at me, he'll look truh me like I was made of glass. Hey I was there the day he was born till now. I definitely like the fler so I guess there's no chance of him sensing any dislike coming from my side. So what gives?! Oh yeh he smiles oh so adoringly to others, just not me. I'd like to think that he's not too happy with that big black thing(camera/lens) pointing at his face. At least that comforts me :-D.

Just yesterday he started smiling at me.. BOY oh BOY was I excited!! How would I describe my excitement without over dramatizing? It was like my first.. erm ok let's leave the description..

Bubba Gump at The Curve! It's a shrimp place.. it's all about the shrimps!

Pretty neat plates they have here.. Leave it as "RUN FOREST RUN" to keep the waiters away..

"STOP FOREST STOP" gawd dammit stop! That's to flag you seek some attention ;-)

A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands.. could we agree less?

I had ran for 3 years, 2 months, 19 days and 16 hours.. I really can't recall "Forest Gump" the movie, but stuff in the joint is filled with bits and pieces of the movie, so Kenneth reminded..

This place have some nifty drinks on their menu.. I had some mango, lemon, some zesty kinda thang.. yummy!

Food we had, which I don't remember what, but pretty damn nice.. I'll definitely be back for their dessert which I had to skip this round due to gluttony..

Note the ping pong bat? It has clippings of 'featured' food.. Why the bat I asked, apparently Mr. Gump played ping pong? Sauces in an over sized bucket that took up just too much space on the table.

I may have odd taste.. I like this door handle..

The experience was all good until we asked for the bill.. it took them ages.. I asked 3 times for my bill.. and when we paid, we had to wait another minute too many.. the end wait killed all the fun we had.. I've my patience, but this killed it point blank. So we walked away feeling not too happy anymore. I hope and am pretty sure this'll improve..

There we were having a nice cuppa at Starbucks, The Mall.. when this guy came, made himself comfortable and started reading the papers.. I think he had a pair of trousers over his head.. pretty cool to keep the heat from his back!

Now I didn't want him to notice me trying to take a pic ya.. He even came over to ask for a cigarette!

Off Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Dewan Sultan Sulaiman to be exact.. to be precise 3.16087,101.698337.

So what will you find here? Lat chiu pan mien! WTF you say? Ok here's the literal translation.. chili plank noodle. erm.. ain't exactly illustrative ya?

Normally you'd see em' hand rolling the noodles with a small manual machine. This fellas have an electronic machine. Nifty! Oh ya as you can see, it's not 'plank' style but rather like plain noodles.

Do you spot the sunny side up egg? Mix it well and mmm..

But where's the chili you yell? There you go! Add as much as your taste buds tell ya too!

Damn the damnest, this is good! Highly recommended ;-)

Friendship Herbal Soup Restaurant

Friendship Herbal Soup Restaurant in Kepong is a delightful joint to have a nice bowl of soup and a pleasant dinner. They have a selection of herbal soup for a variety of causes. Feeling heaty, fatigue, poor blood circulation, etc? Have a bowl of herbal soup, very common amongst the Chinese community.

I've been telling me pals about this place for quite some time, however it being in Kepong seems like a far reach for many. Let's see if these fotos would entice..

Double boiled herbal soup. This is the American ginseng soup with black chicken. Chicken's hidden.. pok* pok* pok*

Bored with plain rice? Try the yam rice.. delicious on it's own!

Pork belly with salted fish..

Some fish that cost me RM9 per 100g.. YUM!

Fancy frog meat? There you go! Now now, don't ya go ewwwww on me! It's absolutely delicious. For those who haven't tasted this delicacy, imagine smooth tender chicken meat..

This is rather different, the soup is thick and full of flavor. It even reminded me of beef stew! What else can I say? YUMMY!

STADT German Cuisine and Bistro

I love German beer. From Bavarian Bierhaus I found Solace (through a recommendation) and this adds to my list. STADT German Cuisine and Bistro. This ain't no fancy place, it's more like a no frills restaurant. From this no frills setup we get German beer and food at a better price!!!

Simple menu (many pages meaning a variety of choices!)..

Mushroom soup.. pretty darn rich!

Pork loin.. slurppp~ I tell ya.. the sauce was GOOD and the meat, perhaps it's the loin that made it tender..

Spaghetti bolognese.. Notice something not too common? Take a good look at the hefty amount of minced beef!

Combo Mixed Sausages at only RM39.90.. IIRC it has a variety of six sausages.. Beat that!

Apple strudel, OK I must admit I was surprised to see apple strudel shaped this way. It may be German style but nevertheless, pretty good..

I've not been to a German serving place more affordable than this place. The food's great and the vast selection makes it even better. Did I forget to mention the beer? Oh they have Paulaner Original, Paulaner Dunkel, Franziskaner Hefe Weiss, Konig Ludwig, Hoegaarden, Stella Artois, Leffe Blond, Leffe Brune, Becks, Warsteiner, Budweiser!!! Lost in the selections yet?
